For spring break this year we decided to take a little mini vacation to Salt Lake. Really the girls don't care where we go, as long as we sleep in a hotel with a pool! My parents and sister's family came too and it was lots of fun! On Friday we went to a place called Boondocks. It is like an all-in-one fun center. The kids liked the play center and the "blaster boats" the best. I didn't love the boats because we got soaking wet! They also had a cute mini bowling area and arcade games. There was tons more to do there, but we didn't have time to do it all. We will have to go back sometime.
Then we headed to SLC, the girls wanted to swim right away but we went to dinner first. We went to a Japanese restaurant called the Samurai. It was one of those restaurants that prepares your food on a grill right at your table. The food was good and it was a fun new experience for the kids, although they didn't really like being that close to the fire. When we got back we swam for a couple of hours and then we were ready for bed!
On Saturday morning we went to the zoo. It wasn't too hot or too crowded so it was a good day to go. The baby elephant was our favorite. The girls both picked out stuffed elephants to bring home. I love our zoo because it only takes 3 hours or so to see everything and that is the perfect amount of time. Finally we headed home. It was a fun couple of days and a great getaway!

Sounds like a lot of fun. We actually went to SL also, but we opted for the Temple square visit instead of the zoo. We didn't stay over night either, but maybe next time we will be able to venture out and do a little more.
